ShoulderCrew ("we") runs the ShoulderCrew app and website, a peer-to-peer roadside help and traffic service. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].

Information we collect

• Location: only when you tap "Near me" or request help, used to find nearby helpers and traffic cameras. We don't track location in the background.
• Search text (zip code or city) you type.
• Account and profile details (name, email, phone, vehicle info) once accounts launch.
• Payment, payout and Crew+ membership info, handled by our payment processor or the app store. We don't store full card numbers.
• Basic device and usage data for diagnostics.

Third parties

Map tiles and place searches go to OpenStreetMap/Nominatim. Camera images load straight from public transport agencies (for example Caltrans, CDOT, TfL, LTA). Those services can see your IP address. When you request a job, helpers see the details they need to reach you.

How we use it

To provide and improve the service, match drivers with helpers, process payments, keep users safe, and meet legal requirements. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and your choices

We keep data only as long as we need it. You can turn off location in your device settings, and you can ask us to access or delete your data, or delete your account, by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL]. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have extra rights.

Children

The service is not meant for anyone under 13 (or 16 in the EU).
